Josef Krysa, a professor with the Department of Inorganic Technology at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, visited Shanxi University from June 12 to 13.

Cheng Fangqin, vice-president of Shanxi University, reached an agreement on teacher and student exchanges with Josef Krysa and presented gifts to the Prague university professor.

Shanxi University invited Josef Krysa to investigate its solid waste comprehensive utilization center in Xiangyuan county. The center's preparation techniques for carbon-based adsorption catalytic materials, combined with nano-cleaning technology that makes use of coking by-product waste, both of which were jointly developed by China and the Czech Republic, won recognition from Josef Krysa.
