Bill Nimmo, a professor with Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Sheffield, was appointed as a guest professor of Shanxi University on July 3.

The professor, part of the team developing academic and industrial projects for the Energy 2050 initiative, has expertise and rich academic and industrial experience of 25 years in energy engineering.

Over the past six years, he has published more than 140 papers, including 75 journal articles. The total value of research projects that hosted or participated in has exceeded $7 million.

Nimmo delivered a lecture called Sustainable Power Technology — Future Options and visited Institute of Resources and Environment Engineering after appointment ceremony at Shanxi University.
