Cultural and art products from Shanxi University are being featured at the 4th Shanxi Cultural Industries Fair, which kicked off in the China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center in Taiyuan, capital city of North China’s Shanxi province, on Dec 5.

The exhibits are mainly handmade arts and crafts inspired by traditional Shanxi culture and customs.

At an exhibition hall set up by Shanxi University in the coal transaction center, visitors can not only admire the exhibits, but also try their hand at making their own works with the guidance of local craftsmen and artists.

In addition to participating in exhibition, the Science and Technology Park at Shanxi University also serves as the sub-venue for the cultural industries fair. A 1,000-square-meter area is being used to show exhibits, provide interactive activities and organizing culture salons and lectures.

The fair will last six days and runs to Dec 10.
