A delegation led by Li Jing, vice-principal of Nankai University, paid a visit to Shanxi University on Dec 20, according to SXU officials.

Huang Guitian, principal of Shanxi University, on behalf of SXU conveyed a warm welcome to the delegates and gave a briefing on the history of the university’s development.

Nankai University’s Li Jing talked about the development status and development environment of Nankai University.

He analyzed the advantages of the two universities and also expressed his wishes for the establishment of innovative cooperation mechanisms.

At the meeting between officials of the two universities, a cooperation work agreement was signed.

Officials said it involved specific cooperation on issues such as development of academic disciplines, teacher and students training and international cooperation.

Witnessing the according were senior staff from SXU’s Discipline Construction and Development Planning Office, the International Cooperation and Exchanges Department, the Science and Technology Department, the School of Physical and Electronic Engineering and the Photoelectric Research Institute.

In addition, the Nankai University delegation also paid a visit to the School of Physical and Electronic Engineering of Shanxi University.
