UNC Charlotte Confucius Institute sends best wishes to SXU

Shanxi University recently received a letter of sympathy from Nancy A. Gutierrez, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the United States. She is also chair of the board of the UNC Charlotte Confucius Institute.
In the letter, she expressed her heartfelt support for Shanxi University during the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and the students of UNC Charlotte Confucius Institute also sent their best wishes to Wuhan, the city hardest hit by the epidemic in China, as well as to China.
The Confucius Institute at UNC Charlotte, jointly established by Shanxi University and UNC Charlotte, has four Confucius classes and one Chinese teaching class with one Chinese dean and four teachers.
More than 30 students study non-credit courses and over 90 students take Chinese language minors at the Confucius Institute each year.
Currently, nearly 1,000 people study in the Russian and Chinese classes and teaching sites of the Confucius Institute each year.
