Online reading sharing event attracts faculty, students

An online reading sharing-themed event hosted by Shanxi University Library concluded at Shanxi University in Taiyuan, capital city of North China's Shanxi province on April 27.
A number of teachers and students from the university shared what they read and learned from reading at the event, which attracted more than 3,000 online viewers.
Xiao Long, director of the Shanxi University Library, said the event aimed to encourage readers to read together and share their thoughts and close the distance between readers and the library. She said the library would continue to carry out various reading activities online.
During the event, Xiao announced the 2019 Shanxi University Library Reading Report, which summarized the development of Shanxi University Library in resources and services over the past year. It also sums up and analyzes readers’ basic information and reading behavior.
