Researchers from the Institute of Laser Spectroscopy at Shanxi University recently realized the digital quantum simulation of topologically protected quantum circuits and topological matter for the first time in the world.
The related research achievements were published on Oct 15 in Physical Review Letters, a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published 52 times per year by the American Physical Society.
Entitled Digital Simulation of Topological Matter on Programmable Quantum Processors, the article showcases the experiments carried out by the research team led by Mei Feng, a professor at the institute, and their findings.
