Shanxi University held a winter job fair on Nov 21, targeting graduates for the coming year of 2021.

Representatives of 123 companies and institutions from other provinces and municipalities across the country attended the event.

They provided more than 5,082 jobs for students -- including popular positions in education, machinery and electronics, construction engineering, medicine, economics and management and accounting. Some 2,000 students participated in the event.

Wang Yanglin, Party chief of Shanxi University, encouraged graduates to establish a scientific outlook in terms of their career prospects, making full use of the job fair to seize opportunities and achieve high-quality employment.

Faced with a tough and complex employment situation in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shanxi University has established continuous employment services -- both on-site and online -- and regularly organized job fairs to help more graduates find work.

Since May, the university has held over 320 job fairs and invited 526 companies and institutions to come to its campus for recruitment drives, offering more than 11,000 posts to graduates.
