Shanxi University was recently recognized as one of 62 national language promotion bases by the Department of Language Application and Administration of the Ministry of Education.

The recognition was of great significance to the improvement of the linguistics discipline of Shanxi University and the promotion of Shanxi province's language work.

The School of Chinese Language and Literature at Shanxi University will continue to promote the use and promotion of a national common spoken and written language in Shanxi, and actively apply for the construction program of the national spoken and written language promotion base, so as to boost rural revitalization and the development of cultural tourism in Shanxi.
