This temple, also known as Grandma Temple, is a small one at the north end of Ming-Qing St, but people have come here for hundreds of years, on April 18 on the lunar calendar, from the surrounding areas to pray for peace and the birth of a child. And the more people believed that their pleas had been answered, the more the pilgrims came, even from other places.
After entering the temple, there is a Songzi (Child bearing) Grandma, where visitors can put a red thread through the eye of a needle from the temple and fasten the needle to Grandma's cloak, then kneel down and tell Grandma their wishes and what they will do after their wish comes true.
The temple has five gods responsible for good luck, salary, long life, happiness, and wealth that visitors worship, and, it is said they that can bring a son, daughter or good luck.
