Dailuo Peak

The Dailuo Peak is a cliffy hillside, located to the east of Taihuai town temple cluster area. From the foot of Dailuo Peak, travelers can see a smaller hill along the peak's midline. Clouds often curl around the mountain gate and archway of the temple trees. The smaller hill looks like a big snail. In summer, luxuriant plants give the "big snail" a bluish-green hue. Therefore, the mountain is also named Daluo peak (meaning big snail) and Dailuo peak (meaning bluish green snail).

There are two paths leading to the top: one is on the north side and the other on the south. At the top of the mountain, both paths converge as they reach the bracket shaped gate of the temple. The north face is relatively plain and easy to climb; meanwhile the south face has rough terrain and is quite difficult to scale.
