Wang Jiange, a famous painter donated a painting titled "Buddhist holyland-Mount Wutai" to Suxiang Temple's permanent collection.

Wang Jiange, a council member of Arts Exchange Center, China Federation of Painting and Calligraphy and Hehe Painting Academy, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, and graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese painting at China's Calligraphy & Painting International University.

With forty years of experience, he specializes in huge landscapes, as well as flowers and calligraphy. His works are delicately beautiful and have won several gold medals at national and provincial painting competitions.

In recent years, Wang Jiange devoted himself to Zen study, and expanded his paintings to reflect the harmony between human and nature.

According to Wang, the painting "Buddhist holyland-Mount Wutai" was inspired by an overlook from the top of Mount Wutai when the whole mountain was shrouded in a hazy fog. It took him half a year to finish the huge painting.

The painting integrated traditional Chinese and oil painting techniques to capture the beauty and spirit of Mount Wutai.
