Pusading Temple holds Spring Festival ceremony

The Pusading Lama Temple, located at the very top of the Mount Wutai in North China's Shanxi province, held its annual dharma assembly on Feb 5, to welcome the upcoming Spring Festival.

The lamas at the temple gathered together and chanted to pray for world peace, prosperity, happiness and good harvests for the year to come.

The temple follows Tibetan Buddhist traditions and holds such assemblies from the 27th day of the 12th lunar month to the third day of the first lunar month every year.

Known as one of China's four famous Buddhist mountains, Mount Wutai boasts the biggest temple complex in East Asia. Apart from the Pusading Lama Temple, it is home to a further 46 well-preserved temples.
