Flight opens between Mount Wutai and Guangzhou

China Southern Airlines is to begin operating a direct service between Guangzhou and Mount Wutai from Aug 4, according to southcn.com.

The announcement was made during a meeting between China Southern Airlines and Xinzhou Mount Wutai Airport, promoting Guangzhou-Mount Wutai air routes and local tourism.

Flight CZ6641/2 will take off from Guangzhou at 9:15 am every Thursday, Friday and Sunday, arriving at Xinzhou at 11:45 am. The return flight departs at 12:25 pm and will arrive in Guangzhou two and half hours later.

Xinzhou is the fifth destination for China Southern Airlines in Shanxi province, following Taiyuan, Changzhi, Datong and Linfen.

There are now 41 passenger flights from Guangzhou to Shanxi province per week, cutting down travel times and providing more convenience and flexibility for travellers.
