Justice & Vice-President of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China. The second Vice-President of the World Jurist Association. LL.D and Professor. She also serves as a member of the Adjudicative Committee and the Director of the State Compensation & the Judicial Assistance Committee of the SPC. The Vice-Chairwoman of the Central Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD), a Standing Committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee of All-China Women's Federation. Vice -Chairwoman of China Women Judges Association, Director General of the Academic Committee of Judicial Protection on IPR of the SPC, and guest professor of several universities.
Justice Tao used to be a visiting scholar, study and make legal researches in many world renowned academic institutions, like School of Commerce in Hong Kong Polytechnic University; School of Commerce and School of Law at the University of British Columbia, Canada; School of Commerce at the University of California, Berkeley; World Academy of WIPO; and Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, etc.
