The Supreme People's Court issued a guideline which is expected to serve as a key legal basis and created a sound judicial environment for the nation's STAR Market, or the science and technology innovation board on June 21 at its press conference.

Hosted by SPC spokesman Li Guangyu, the briefing was attended by Liu Guixiang, member of the SPC's judicial committee, Li Chao, vice-president of the China Securities Regulatory Commission and Lin Wenxue, presiding judge of the SPC's Civil Adjudication Tribunal No 2.

A total of 17 measures were put forward in the guideline, focusing on judicial guarantee for the new situations after the capital market's reform, lifting the law-and regulation-violation cost in China's capital market and making the securities civil litigation system more suitable for the registration-based initial public offerings mechanism in submarket.
