SPC head calls for judicial efforts to optimize business environment

Zhou Qiang, president of China's Supreme People's Court, described China's practices to strengthen judicial protection on property rights and to optimize the business environment as he attended the BRICS Chief Justices Forum via video link on Sept 8.
Optimizing the business environment has been prioritized since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, and China's courts at all levels have been actively promoting a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized business environment and contributing to the high and continuous rise of indicators that reveal China’s business environment, said Zhou.
He made the remarks at a thematic seminar of the forum on protecting economic actors' interests and the business environment through administrative litigation.
Zhou introduced China's courts' main practices in optimizing the business environment, including strengthening judicial protection on property rights and fairly protecting the legitimate rights and interests of different market entities, improving work mechanisms o provide premium judicial services for market entities strengthening judgment enforcement to safeguard the rights and interests of successful litigants.
China's top court is willing to learn from the judicial experience of BRICS countries and further deepen multilateral judicial cooperation to optimize business environment, boost high-quality economic development, and contribute to building an open world economy and a community of shared future for mankind, said Zhou.
