Lu Xue--Paper-cut Artist at the foot of Mount Tai

Lu Xue is the invited researcher of China's Academy of Arts and member of the CPPCC of Shandong province.

Paper-cutting as a traditional folk art and craft, is an important part of Chinese popular culture.

Lu Xue, with her own magical skills, becomes the world leader in paper-cutting industry. Lu Xue reproduces the Confucian shrines with the traditional Chinese paper-cut -- the large-scale paper-cut work Confucius and Confucian Shrines Map.

Her creations have been collected by the Beijing Confucius Temple and many museums

In the 200th anniversary of Christian Andersen, Lu Xue created 112 paper-cut works of Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, including the Emperor's New Clothes and the Ugly Duckling.

These works were greatly appreciated by foreign friends. These paper-cut series of Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales were permanently collected by the Danish Christian Andersen Museum. The Queen of Denmark awarded to Lu Xue "the Danish flag knighthood."

Lu Xue's works have been exhibited around the world and received public's affection of Europe and the United States.
