Tai’an hosts 2016 Shandong Educational Equipment Expo
The 2016 Shandong Educational Equipment Expo and the third School Uniform Design Competition opened on Sept 17 in Tai’an to promote educational exchanges in the era of Internet Plus.
The event attracted many teacher and parents from across the province.
Showing off the latest in education equipment as well as sharp uniform designs, the expo ran until Sept 19 and was organized by the Shandong Provincial Education Department and Tai’an government.
The expo was comprised of three areas -- i-campus, modern education equipment, and campus logistics, as well as two special divisions -- campus security and special education. It attracted 219 education enterprises, setting up 1,067 booths.

A fruit piano was a particular crowd favorite at the expo. Fruits such as watermelon, oranges and lemons were connected with different electrodes so that when touched the piano would produce different notes, tones and pitches.

“This educational equipment expo builds a communication platform for all education-related industries, including enterprises and schools,” said an exhibitor.
The final of uniform design competition was held in the evening on Sept 17. A total of 53 clothing designers and companies competed, submitting 488 entries, covering sportswear, uniforms and shoes. Some 90 designs received awards from the nine judges, to be recommended to schools in Shandong.
