Tai'an tourism booms over national week-long break
Tourist attractions in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province, experienced a surge in visitor numbers over the National Day holiday (Oct 1 to 7), as people sought to make the most of the week-long break.

Tai’an’s major tourist areas welcomed more than 695,077 tourists during the seven-day holiday, taking in 62.22 million yuan ($9.3 million), a considerable increase on last year due in part to improved facilities.
Most popular of all scenic spots was the iconic Mount Tai which received some 318,800 tourists, making 27.6 million yuan ($4.14 million) in ticket revenue.

The Fantawild Adventure amusement park, thrilled some 41,000 visitors, 12 percent more than in the same period in 2015, while taking in 7.2 million in revenue, up 10.5 percent year-on-year.
Baotailong Tourist Resort, where the Great Rift Valley of Mount Tai is located, experienced an increase of almost 50 percent in its visitor numbers and generating 18.14 million yuan in sales.

Tai’an’s tourism bureau has said that it will continue to improve services and invest in infrastructure to attract more visitors in the future.
