Tai'an vows to improve tourism industry
The Tai'an session of the Spring Festival gala was a perfect showcase for Tai'an's beautiful landscapes and profound culture, and the gala's broadcast sparked interest in the city among many tourists, according to a news report dated Feb 22 on Tai'an's official website.
Statistics show that tourism has greatly increased at several of Tai'an's tourist spots, such as Mount Tai and the Fanta Wild Adventure amusement park.
To further attract visitors, Tai'an has been planning a series of activities, including bell striking, singing performances, and storytelling, which are representative of the local culture and traditions.
At Tianyi Lake, a section of Mount Tai, a wide range of cultural activities will be held to enrich public life, such as the lantern festival, displays of local specialties, artwork exhibitions, amusement activities, and sight-seeing tour packages.
Feicheng city will also carry out various activities, such as the lion dance, the yangko dance, walking on stilts, and boat rowing. There will also be some traditional activities, such as wearing Han Chinese clothing, making lanterns, archery, and observing tea etiquette, all with the intent of reawakening people's memory of the past.
Tai'an will also improve its rural tourism. For example, the city allows tourists to pick their own fruits and vegetables. They can also stay in the countryside for several days to enjoy the natural beauty and even work in the fields.
