The Tai'an session of the Spring Festival gala was so popular that it boosted the city's tourism, according to a news report published on Tai'an's official website on Feb 21.

Figures show that from Feb 14 to 21, the city's total number of tourists reached 512,000, an increase of 25.6 percent from same period last year. The city's tourism revenue reached 24.15 million yuan, an increase of 46.9 percent. The number of tourists is expected to keep growing.

Many tourists visited Mount Tai to enjoy its majestic natural beauty. Some people also visited the mountain to pray for good fortune in the coming year.
