Intl art fair kicks off in Tai'an

The 2018 Mount Tai International Art Fair is being held in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province from Nov 15 to 18 to display Chinese traditional culture to the world and promote Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.
With the Yellow River and Mount Tai acting as the main themes, the art fair has more than 5,000 paintings on display by artists from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as Russia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, including works from artists such as Xie Zhigao, a famous Chinese painting artist and Nima Zeren, a well-known Tibetan painter.

"This fair is in a Chinese-style and a pure art exhibition activity and its venue is so extensive that it can fully display many works of art. A total of 40 painters from China Female Artists Association are participating in this fair, with 80 paintings on exhibition," said Kong Zi, chairman of the association.
Additionally, dark-red enameled potteries, ceramics, wood carvings and other kinds of handiworks are also displayed at the fair.

The art fair, joint organized by the Tai'an bureau of culture, radio, film, television, press and publication, Tai'an Daily and the Tai'an Media Group, was held in 2017 for the first time.
