Take a cherry-picking tour to Dayuhe village
May is the perfect time to harvest cherry, which has plenty of nutritional and health benefits and is quite popular among consumers.
Parts of the cherries are ripe in early May in the Dayuhe village in Taishan district of Tai'an, Shandong province, awaiting the arrival of visitors to pick them.
According to local farmers, the cherries available now, commonly known as "small cherries" in the market, are of early-maturing varieties. All varieties will be available in mid-May.
Located in the northern part of Shengzhuang town, Dayuhe village is embraced on three sides by green hills. The village has been planting cherries for more than 20 years with about eight varieties.
The ticket for picking cherries in the village is only 10 yuan ($1.47) per person and the cherry fruit is sold for 20 yuan per kilogram.
