Daiyue district GDP grows 7.2% in first three quarters

During the first three quarters of the year, the gross domestic product of Daiyue district, Tai'an reached 29.87 billion yuan ($4.31 billion), a year-on-year growth of 7.2 percent.

Official data showed that from January to October, the district's general public budget revenue reached 2.42 billion yuan, up 12.6 percent, while tax revenue totaled 2.18 billion yuan, up 18.4 percent. Daiyue district also saw a surge in the added value of industries above the designated scale in the period, growing by 11.1 percent.

A total of 1.91 billion yuan was invested in three major transport construction projects, and 400 million yuan was invested in four shantytown transformation projects. An investment of 730 million yuan was made in six industrial projects, including Taishan gypsum industrial park, a smart industrial park and a chemical industrial park.

Local authorities said that the district will continue to improve business environment and attract more high-quality investment and projects.
