Tai'an environmental protection efforts featured on CCTV

A documentary featuring the natural scenery in Tai'an, Shandong province and the city's achievements in environmental protection was aired on China Central Television 12 (CCTV-12) on Feb 19 and 26.

The documentary had two episodes, with each being 36 minutes long. The first episode mainly introduced the methods and results the city has made in ecological protection, such as the restoration of barren hills, as well as the abandoned quarries and the subsided areas in Mount Tai and its surrounding areas.
The second episode focused on the comprehensive treatment of sewage in Mount Tai and its surrounding area, presenting the remarkable achievements in protecting the water quality of Dongping Lake and treating pollution of the Dawen River.
The documentary was produced by the Tai'an municipal publicity bureau and jointly shot by CCTV-12, the social and legal channel of China Central Television, as well as Tai'an Broadcasting and Television Station. The shooting time took more than two months to complete.
