Conference promoting grain and oil trade held in Tai'an

The 4th China Taishan Grain and Oil Forum and the 16th National Ordering Conference for Grain and Oil Production and Marketing Enterprises were held in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province from May 8 to 11.
The event consisted of a forum and an exhibition. On May 9, 12 experts from famous universities and academies across the country attended the forum and delivered speeches on cutting-edged technology in grain and oil industries, grain and oil market analysis and enterprise management.

More than 500 grain and oil production and marketing enterprises from across China, including more than 20 enterprises from Tai'an, displayed over 2,000 products at the exhibition on May 10.
Launched in 2006, the event has become an influential grain and oil ordering conference that boasts the largest scale, most extensive influence and largest trading volume in China. This year's exhibition area spanned 25,000 square meters.
Tai'an has in recent years issued a series of supporting policies to promote its grain industry while continuing to increase investment in grain production.
To date, the city has a grain planting area measuring 5.58 million mu (371,733.33 hectares) and a total grain output of 2.57 million tons. Tai'an is now an important production base in China for agricultural products including grain, oil, fruit and vegetables.
