Tai'an enterprise completes construction of 2022 Winter Olympics training venue
The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics venue for ice sports training, which was constructed by Shandong Junhui Construction Group Company, has been put into operation recently after over 60 days of relentless work by more than 400 employees.
The venue, located in Yanqing district, Beijing has a total construction area of more than 80,000 square meters and a total investment valued at over 1 billion yuan ($160 million). It mainly includes a comprehensive training facility and a teaching and management building with eight standard-sized ice rinks in the stadium, each spanning about 1,800 square meters.
The venue functions as a training base for the upcoming ice competitions such as figure skating, short track skating and curling during 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics.
Shandong Junhui Construction Group Company is located in Tai'an city, which is known as the hometown of construction in China. The engineering company was established 40 years ago, and it is the first private enterprise in Shandong province that has obtained the first-class qualification for general contracting of petrochemical construction.
In addition, it has won the titles of "Shandong Construction Industry Comprehensive Strength Top 30 Enterprises" and "Shandong Construction Industry Elite Enterprise". The company ranked 79th among the top 100 private enterprises in Shandong and 4th among the top 50 private enterprises in Tai'an in 2021.
