Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone in East China's Shandong province enjoyed prosperous economic growth in 2021.

From January to October in 2021, 68 investment projects were put in place including 55 fixed asset investment projects and 13 new projects.

More than 70 projects covering areas such as cultural tourism, healthcare, scientific and technological innovation, and modern services are under construction.

Examples of projects that are currently under construction are Tai'an International Health Care Base, Shounong Commercial Complex, Inspur Science and Technology Park, Tai'an Tencent IP Digital Cloud Valley, China Mobile Comprehensive Hub Building and the 5G Big Data Center.

As an important part of Tai'an city's tourism industry, Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone has ramped up its efforts to the construction of national tourist resorts such as The Mount Tai Xiucheng Cultural Park and Shi Gandang Cultural Park.

The Mount Tai Xiucheng Old Street was awarded as the first batch of national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters in 2021.

In 2022, Tai'an Tourism Economic Development Zone will further optimize its urban functions and contribute to the modernization of Tai'an city.
