Taishan district to upgrade 267 neighborhoods in 2022

A launch ceremony for the 2022 old neighborhood restoration project was held in Taishan district, Tai'an, Shandong province on March 7.
With a total investment of 1.31 billion yuan ($206.49 million), Taishan district has planned 47 restoration projects including 267 neighborhoods covering a total area of 435 hectares, which will benefit 48,000 households.
The restoration project, which will upgrade 1,410 buildings, is slated to be completed by November.
In numerous elements of the restoration process, innovative work will be used.
For instance, in addition to restoration of infrastructures and external wall insulation, the restoration project will implement intelligent property management.
The project will also focus on meeting residents' needs by letting people from the community get involved in the restoration design with experts.
Tai'an has stepped up its efforts to restore old neighborhoods in recent years, seeing it as critical to ensuring people's well-being, boosting city upgrading, and improving municipal functioning.
