Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) and Yale University has jointly initiated TEDA-Yale Executive Leadership Program with the strategic cooperation from PPG Industries.

This program aims at widening global horizons and refining strategic management of business executives and senior government officials of Tianjin and Tianjin Binhai New Area (TBNA).
The program was officially launched in TEDA on 17th May. Yale University has dispatched famous professors in various fields to give a four-day discourse for about 50 business executives and governmental officials of Tianjin.
The highly acclaimed professors include Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, the senior associate dean of Yale School of Management, who was listed by US "Business Week" as one of the world's 10 most influential business school professors, and Daniel C. Esty, an environment and energy expert, who has been an adviser of Obama campaign team and a member of Obama transition team.
To echo with current hot economic issues, the curricula cover leadership and strategy development, analysis on the macroeconomic situation and environmental issues home and abroad, public relation and collaboration theory and practice, human resources and commercial environment analysis, and other topics.
The launch of this program is not only taken seriously by Tianjin Municipal Government and TBNA Government, but also by Secretary-General of Boao Forum Zhou Wenzhong. Zhou attended opening ceremony of the program in person, and delivered a speech on Sino-US relationship.
Deputy Mayor of Tianjin Municipality Cui Jindu stressed at opening ceremony that TEDA-Yale Executive Leadership Program would provide Tianjin government departments and enterprises with an opportunity for learning and networking.
The program would play a significant role in expanding international perspective and improving leadership and decision-making skills of governments at all levels and business leaders, as well as in promoting regional economic development and enhancing international competitiveness of enterprises.
He Shushan, member of Standing Committee of CPC TBNA Committee, Chairman of TEDA Administrative Commission, indicated in the speech that the cooperation would represent a powerful combination between the world's top business school and China's most outward-oriented development area and enjoy capacious cooperative prospect and enduring influence. The collaboration would also improve management skills and ability of TEDA.
