The 2010 Tianjin &Taiwan Expo has opened, marking the largest exhibition of Taiwan products ever held by the mainland and Taiwan.

More than 800 companies and nearly 2000 business people are participating in the exhibition. Manufacturers that fall under the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement's "Early Harvest Programme" are also taking part. The expo comprises nine show areas and 40 thousand products encompassing Taiwan technology, fashion and creativity.

In the technology and energy conservation area, the focus is on solar and renewable energy. The expo is being held to assist small and medium businesses in Taiwan, to expand their market on the mainland.
