Tianjin is recruiting 2,000 volunteers for the 2012 Summer Davos Forum. Three categories including forum volunteer, city volunteer, and etiquette volunteer can be applied for during March 5-14.
As the 13th Chinese Volunteers Service Day (Mar 5) is drawing near, China Communist Youth League Tianjin Committee and Tianjin Young Volunteers Association (TYVA) are cooperating to conduct this recruitment activity.
This move aims to carry forward the spirit of volunteers which is embodied as "Devotion, Friendliness, Cooperation, Progress", and set a platform for youth to join in the voluntary service.
Requirements for candidates:
University students who will continue studying in Tianjin until September 2012 and are willing to service for the Davos activities;
Above 18 years old (be born before Aug 31, 1994) with healthy body and mentality; Have adequate time to participate in the training program before the forum;
Be sure to on-post within the regulated time set by the preparatory committee of the forum;
Abide by the related regulations and task allocation;
Professional knowledge and skills as a volunteer are required and a good command of English as well as mandarin, candidates have a good mastery of French, German, Japanese etc. and experience of volunteering for large events are preferred.
