Construction of Tianjin Airport T2 Building Started

Tianjin Airport T2 Building has started its main body construction and is planned to come into service in 2014. In 2011, Tianjin Airlines will focus on artery flights development and is expected to open more international air routes to Japan and Korean in order to offer more choices and more favorable ticket prices to travelers.

According to Liu Feng, Deputy Manager of the Marketing Department of Tianjin Airlines, upon the completion of T2 building, the total area of Tianjin Airport terminal will be 360,000m2 with an annual throughput capacity of 25 million people. At the same time, subway Line 2 and the inter-city bullet train will also be extended to Tianjin Airport. Compared to T1 building, T2 building will be more efficient in energy consumption and install automatic on-duty machine and luggage consignment machine, the first of its kind in China.
