The return of a courtesan on stage

Directed by Tian Qinxin and starring Liu Xiaoqing, the drama Fenghua Juedai (Unparalleled Beauty) by Tianjin People's Art Theater will return to Beijing for a third round from Jan 25-27 at the Tianqiao Theater.

Recounting the legend of Chinese courtesan Sai Jinhua (1874-1936), the drama has beenstaged more than 80 times in 40 cities around China since its debut in April. Another 30 more performances are due next year, making it one of the most popular dramas.
