According to a cooperation agreement signed between Tianjin Port (Group) and China Merchants Group (CMG) on Dec 6, both sides will promote the construction of the city's Northern International Shipping core area, adjust its economic structure and deepen its reform.
They will cooperate in port operations, regional integrated development, comprehensive logistics services, financial services, and talent training. They will also expand development space and strengthen industrial service functions, promote industries' gatherings, and establish a logistics network centered on the port.
The network will be part of the port's shift to logistics transaction integration as it matures into a modern international port and a component of the economic development and industrial upgrading of Tianjin.
Tianjin Port (Group) and CMG, cooperating in port logistics and the cruise economy, established the four-berth Tianjin Five Continents International Container Terminal and the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port.
