Wuhan's fourth Azalea Festival opens at Huangpi

On April 10, 2012, the opening ceremony of the China Wuhan's fourth Azalea Festival on Mulan Mountain was held at the Yunwu Mountain Resort in Huangpi county of Hubei province.
Since 2009, China Wuhan Azalea Festival has been held annually. It's jointly hosted by the Huangpi district committee of CPC, the people's government of the Huangpi district, and the Wuhan municipal tourism administration. The key event is the signing of the agreements for four activities, including Direct Transportation between the Wuhan and Mulan Scenic Spot, 10,000 Guangdong People Tour Mulan, Huangshi People Tour Huangpi, and 100,000 People Appreciate Azalea at Huangpi.
The festival lasts for a month, and ends on May 8. In addition, ten other activities will be held in the resort, including appreciation of azalea and natural beauty, tourist economy strategy seminar, clay sculpture exhibition, and a photo-taking contest.
Huangpi district has built six 4A scenic spots and has become a truly important district of tourism in Hubei. In the past years, Huangpi has focused on the construction of Mulan's scenic spots cluster, and has made relentless efforts to build a national 5A scenic spot. It also has worked to promote the tourism brand of "Hometown of China's Mulan Mountain, and Leisure in Four Seasons at Huangpi", a national tourism destination and an example for Hubei's tourism.
