Hubei and Guangdong deepens cooperation in tourism

On April 9, the delegation of Guangdong province made an investigation in Hubei province. The tourism administration departments of Hubei and Guangdong signed a Tourism Cooperation Framework Agreement.

On the morning of April 9, 2012 Guangdong Products Marketing in Hubei Initiation Ceremony cum Guangdong-Hubei Cooperation Project Signing Ceremony was held in Wuhan. Both parties promised to establish cross-province tourism cooperation.

The tourism business community talks and the agreement signing ceremony were held in the afternoon. The cooperation for tourism between Guangdong and Hubei provinces has an extensive and firm foundation. The communication in tourism between the two provinces has been increasingly intensified since the launching of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed trains.

Since 2010, Hubei has held large-scaled tourism promotion activities in Guangdong for three consecutive years. It has established a good cooperative and interactive relationship with Guangdong.

With joint efforts of the tourism business communities in both provinces, Hubei received about 12 million visitors from the region of the Pearl River Delta in 2011. Hubei has very rich tourism resources.

The most outstanding feature is route through the river and the two mountains, which incorporates several national 5A scenic spots and has large potential for marketing and promotion.

The tourism operators of the two provinces should strengthen cooperation, and enhance publicity and promotion so as to promote the two-way mobility of visitors from both provinces and achieve success from the tourism markets of Guangdong and Hubei.

During the tourism business community talks and agreement signing ceremonies, the tourism administration departments and tourism operators of both provinces extensively communicate about plans.

The Hubei Western Area Eco-cultural Tourism Investment Co, Ltd signed a development agreement on the Changyang Qingjiang Gallery Tourism Project with the Guangzhou Lingnan International Enterprise Group. Twelve traveler agencies in Hubei and Guangdong signed cooperative agreement for tourist group organizations. This includes GZL International Travel Sevice Ltd of Guangdong province and Hubei China Youth Travel Service.
