China's first 3D documentary began a 15-day shoot in the Wudang Mountains on Nov 1. The documentary will explore the world cultural heritage of Wudang. It will be the first episode in a large-scale 3D serial documentary, World Heritages in China.

Jiankun, a famous director and the chief director of Asia TV in Taiwan, will act as the director of the documentary. According to his introduction, the shoot will focus on wushu (martial arts) in Wudang, Wudang's Taoism culture, ancient architecture, natural landscapes and Taoist medicine.
Chinese kung fu was the first Chinese discipline known worldwide. The most representative form of Chinese wushu is Wudang wushu. The Wudang Mountains has attracted millions of tourists from all over the world each year since its ancient architectural complex became a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site.

The 3D documentary World Heritages in China—the Wudang Mountains will be broadcast next year in platforms including Asia Fashion TV, Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan and Asahi 3D Channel in Japan. The program will include 23 minutes of footage shot at the Wudang Mountains.
