High proportion of Wudang visitors are students

The number of tourists visiting Wudang Mountains has remained stabled in the last few weeks, despite the scorching temperatures in south China and this is most likely due in part to special discounts for students and teachers.

There has been a major increase in the number of students and teachers visiting Wudang Mountains, and 40 percent of tourists in this category hail from Hubei province.

Wudang Mountains is offering special discounts for students and teachers in order to stimulate the summer holiday market from July to August.

Visitors presenting their teacher certificates can enjoy a 50 percent discount on entrance tickets and 35 percent off bus tickets, and students can receive a 50 percent discount on all tickets.

Wudang Mountains authorities have adopted new approaches to reach their target customers, by promoting the discounts on online media such as www.10yan.com and also on weibo, tieba and other forms of social media, in addition to ads in Shiyan Evening News.
