Disciples from overseas showcase their Wudang kung fu skills in Beijing after they arrived in the capital city to take part in a CCTV show.
This photo shows the kung fu disciples from various countries demonstrating their skills.
These kung fu disciples from eight countries have been perfecting their skills at Wudang Mountains for more than four years.
A group of disciples from overseas left Wudang Mountains for Beijing on Sept 11 to take part in a Wudang kung fu segment that will be part of a CCTV program, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.
The 11 disciples from eight countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada and Switzerland, will demonstrate their skills in "unbound martial arts" (Wushu Wujie).
Their four-minute long performance for the CCTV program aims to convey the spiritual essence of Wudang kung fu. These disciples have been perfecting their kung fu skills on Wudang Mountains for more than four years, integrating various Chinese martial art styles such as taijiquan, baguazhang, qiankunshan and xingyiquan.
On Aug 18, another group of overseas disciples from Wudang Traditional Martial Arts School took part in "Wudang Heroes" on CCTV and won the top prize.
