A large-scale kung fu show called "Fantasy Wudang" was held at Wudang Mountains during the National Day holiday. |
The kung fu show was created by Chen Weiya, assistant director for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and Zhao Jiping, chairman of the Chinese Musicians Association.
The audience had the opportunity to enjoy the performances of about 300 actors, including 16 world-class kung fu masters as well as several top taijiquan masters.
Spectators were also treated to a vision created by state-of-the-art light and electricity technology, with an electronic screen measuring 200 square meters, a rotatable stage, curtain spray fountains and high-tech digital lights.
Each performance lasted 70 minutes and also featured acrobatics. It was performed every evening at 8 pm at the Tai Chi Theater.
The theater is located in the Tai Chi Lake Tourist Area, and has a capacity of 966 seats, including 66 for VIPs.
