Wudang Mountain Airport to open in 2015

Zhang Weiguo, mayor of Shiyan city, central China's Hubei province, hosted a meeting on Oct 8, about the construction of Wudang Mountain Airport, a Jingneng cogeneration plant and the north square of Shiyan Railway Station, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.
Construction of the airport is expected to start at the end of this year and be finished next year, so that it can be put into operation in 2015.
Most of the preparations have been completed, and officials hope to receive approval from the National Development and Reform Commission by the end of this month.
Other participants in the meeting included Long Liangwen, executive vice mayor of Shiyan, and two vice mayors, Cheng Jiagang and Yao Taihe.
The participants said that the operation management system of the airport needs to be defined and the training of airport personnel should also start as early as possible.
Officials at the meeting also said that the location of the Jingneng cogeneration plant has been determined, and the project is expected to start soon. They also discussed the progress in the construction of the north square of Shiyan Railway Station.
