Shiyan ensures Spring Festival market supply

Shopping malls and supermarkets in Shiyan city, Hubei province, are storing commodities so as to ensure the market supply during the upcoming Spring Festival, Shiyan Daily reported on Jan 23.

Shop managers have organized decorations, filled shelves with special goods for the lunar New Year, and have also launched various sales promotions, stocking goods worth an estimated 270 million yuan ($44.63 million).

The daily volume of vegetable trade in the wholesale market of Shendinghe agricultural product center reaches 360,000 kg, with an average price of 2.25 yuan per kg, and there are 40 kinds of vegetables, from 20 different provinces such as Shandong, Sichuan, Henan, Guangdong, Hainan, Hebei and Inner Mongolia.
