Wudang to open earlier during Spring Festival

The ticket office of Wudang Mountains scenic area is set to open earlier during the Spring Festival from Jan 31 to Feb 6, in a bid to improve its ability to handle the expected crowds of visitors, wudangshan.gov.cn reported on Jan 24.

The management of the scenic area will monitor statistics so as to estimate the number of visitors expected each day during the holiday, and they will thus plan to open one hour earlier if they expect 3,000 tourists, two hours earlier for 4,000 tourists, and three hours earlier if they expect 5,000 visitors.

The management will also take measures, such as forming smaller groups and lining up the members of the largest groups. In addition, the scenic area will organize special buses at the shuttle bus station of the tourist center for groups of 2,000 people or more.
