Li Faping, vice-mayor of Shiyan city in Central China’s Hubei province, and Liu Jianping, deputy director of Wudang Mountains management committee trekked 9 km to inspect Wulong scenic spot’s trail construction site on June 10, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.
The trail construction in Wulong canyon starts from Wuyaling scenic spot and ends at Wulong Palace. With a total length of 8.1 km, the trail boasts beautiful natural sceneries and many historic relics.
Once constructed, the trail will serve those who want to enjoy the natural beauty, like the trail from Qiongtai to the Golden Hall. Moreover, the trail will disperse tourists to different scenic spots and help prevent forest fires.
Current work on the trail has been completed and related facilities are still under construction. During the inspection, Li commented on the trail design and other related aspects. He highlighted the importance of trail construction to the tourism development of Wudang Mountains.
He instructed that the construction on related trail facilities should be speeded up to put the trail into use soon, while maintaining high quality, tightening supervision, and protecting the environment.
