Yang Danhua, vice-director of Wudang Management Committee, led departments such as the finance bureau, tourism administration and Wudang Hotel to attend the training, organized by Wudang’s information and technology center.
During the training, Taobao Travel focused on introducing “Go right away”, an application that could be used on both mobile phone and Internet to buy tickets through receiving QR codes on cell phones. After buying tickets on this app, tourists can just swipe the QR code or their own ID cards on a self-checking machine at the entrance of a scenery spot to gain entrance.

This app provides more convenience and efficiency for both consumers and tourism departments. What’s more, it helps merchants to save costs and learn more about their clients, so that they are able to provide better services and promote their goods and services more easily.
Wudang Mountains seized this opportunity to make a change and now it has opened an online store on Taobao Travel. From June 25 to July 7, 63 tickets for Wudang travel were sold without any previous advertising of the service.
Many of the merchants attending the training expressed the wish to have a try, asking how to get their shops online. Attendees from relevant departments of Wudang Special Zone had further discussions with Taobao about potential practical problems.
Yang said that this training was a good opportunity to gain new knowledge and solve existing problems at work. It would help to speed up development of Wudang’s smart tourism.
