A new TV series, Chao Bai Wudang, started shooting in the Wudang Mountains, Hubei province, on Oct 19. It is scheduled to hit TVs during the National Day holiday in 2015.
Co-produced by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) from Hong Kong and the Wudang Mountains administration, the 20-episode series stars such famous TVB actors and actresses as Siu-ho Chin, Tavia Yeung Yi, Hung Tin Ming and Toby Leung.
It tells the story of a group of Hong Kong people who visit the Wudang Mountains by coincidence and study Wudang kung fu to promote Wudang's Taoism culture and the spirit of wushu martial arts, which includes humanity, respect and tolerance.
Shooting will run for about 20 days. The series will shoot most of its episodes in Wudang to allow audiences to enjoy Wudang's picturesque scenery. The crew will recruit a majority of extras as well as some actors and actresses for important roles from local residents.
Upon completion, it will be available on TVB Jade (a TV channel of TVB) and Youku (a video site).
