Wudang hosts photography exhibition

A launching ceremony for the 25th China Photography Exhibition and "Wudang Mountains" China Photography Exhibition and an awards ceremony of the 2013 Wudang (China) International Photography Competition were held in the Wudang Mountains in Shiyan, Hubei province, on Nov 28. Over 600 photography experts, government leaders and prize-winners attended the event.

"The photos will help capture Wudang's gorgeous scenery and popularize the mountains," said Li Faping, deputy mayor of Shiyan.

"As the biggest photography exhibition, the 25th China Photography Exhibition in Wudang Mountainscan promote the Wudang culture," said Wu Shijie, member of the standing committee of Shiyan.

"Wudang Mountains" China Photography Exhibition has been held for three times, popularizing Wudang and promoting the development of Wudang's tourist economy. Several works of the last year's exhibition are on display in Wudang Geological Museum from Nov 29 to Dec 29.
