Wudang opens Tai chi art gallery

A launching ceremony of the Wudang Tai chi Art Gallery, based in Shiyan, Hubei province, was held in Beijing on Jan 19.
Du Baihong, president of the Wudang Cultural Communication Center of the Wudang Mountains Taoist Association, Fang Shuting, chairman of the China Association of Chinese Traditional Medicine, and Liu Yunmei, vice-president of the municipal political consultative conference, were invited to deliver speeches at the event. They extended their welcome to the participants and made an introduction to the gallery.
Afterwards, Li Guangfu, president of the Wudang Mountains Taoist Association, and Taoist priest Xuanguang awarded certificates to the counselor and art director of the museum. The suggestions and measures of the professional experts on promoting the Wudang culture and enhance the authorization of the gallery were agreed by the participants.
Consisting of an artists' exhibition hall, treasure hall, calligraphy center, training center and healthcare leisure center, the Wudang Tai chi Art Gallery created the ideal setting for a cultural tourism, exhibitions, academic exchanges and artwork auctions.
